    CLASS B DELIVERY DRIVER/WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE - COLUMBUS OH

    TRUCK DRIVER - CLASS B CDL TRUCK DRIVER/WAREHOUSE

    FULL TIME POSITION AVAILABLE!

    $18.50 per hour to start; $19.00 after 90 days of satisfactory performance:

    Plus $1.00 per hour safety bonus

A CDL CLASS B license is required.  Applicants must be willing to work early 5 AM start times 32 - 40 hours per week including Sundays.

    We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to prepare ice orders and deliver dry ice loads while being conscience of the environment and taking all safety precautions necessary to ensure that the shipment is delivered securely and on time.  You will check all load-related documentation to ensure that the job is done completely and accurately and that the customer is satisfied with the transport.  If you are a respectful person and are capable of working both in a warehouse and behind the wheel, then Continental Carbonic Products may be the right place for you to hit the road!

     

     

    Compensation

    As a Truck Driver for Continental Carbonic Products, you will follow all the appropriate safety procedures for the transportation of dry ice. You will also check the truck to ensure that all mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in acceptable order before a haul.  

     

    • Safety for yourself and others
    • Packaging dry ice orders
    • Loading, and delivering dry ice to customers
    • Obtaining receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collecting payment for services when required
    • Securing cargo with supplied equipment to ensure load is safe from shifting 
    • Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or any damage to the vehicles 
    • Collecting empty boxes for return
    • Reading bills of lading to determine assignment details 
    • Maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions 
    • General maintenance duties    
    • Other warehouse duties as assigned

     

    Benefits

    • CDL Class B license - fully current - current DOT long form physical and medical card
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the type of truck that you’re going to hire into or 1 year experience with certification of accredited driving training 
    • Ability to lift, push/pull up to 60 lbs. repetitively, bending, twisting, etc.
    • Must be able to push/pull 600 lb. wheeled boxes
    • Perform safe forklift operation and pallet jack operation
    • Ability to pass a DOT drug screening and criminal background check 
    • Possessing a good driving record
